Dr Kate Evans

Kate graduated from the University of Queensland in 1992. She was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1997. She has also completed a Diploma in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine and a Diploma in Family Planning both obtained in the UK.

Kate has particular interests in Paediatrics, Women’s Health, Sexual Health, HIV Medicine and Travel Health. She has worked in a variety of fields in a number of Brisbane hospitals, in Rural Queensland and has worked for longer terms in Paediatrics both in Brisbane and the UK. She went on to further study and work in London in Sexual Health and HIV medicine for 3 years before returning to work in General Practice in Brisbane.

Kate particularly enjoys being involved in the continuing care of patients and their families and significant others. She feels privileged and rewarded that General Practice offers the opportunity to assist people over the long term with the variety of circumstances which life presents.
